All of our staff are recruited locally and are trained to deliver a high standard
Most of the care staff are trained to NVQ level 2 or above. Where level 2 is not
met yet, staff receive in house training and attend training courses which enables
them to gain the NVQ qualification.
Anyone who handles medication is specifically trained in this area and holds the
required certificated qualification.
Eight of the staff are trained to NVQ level 3 in palliative care, and with excellent
support from the local surgeries and the district nursing teams, our residents can
rest assured that all of their needs can be met.

Care Manager Helen Goodgroves with two of the residents. Helen is responsible for the smooth day to day running of
the home and the care and welfare of the residents. Helen is highly qualified and keeps abreast of current developments within the care industry by attending professional development courses; she also undertakes the induction and training of her staff to ensure the highest possible standards of care are maintained.
